Traditional industrial CNC machines; due to their high costs, large footprints, and the level of expertise required to operate them, are not sufficiently accessible for every type of business, institution, or user. Rownd Precision addresses this challenge by offering desktop CNC solutions that make high precision CNC capabilities accessible at a smaller scale, combining hardware and software through proprietary technology. We are pleased to welcome Rownd Precision into our portfolio in support of this vision.

Rownd’s desktop CNC machines stand out with their original electronic boards and software architecture, entirely developed in house. Thanks to this infrastructure, which can process industrial G codes, they bring professional precision to a wider user base. The ability to produce meaningful and repeatable outputs in a short time across diverse use cases from small businesses and R&D teams to educational institutions and individual producers positions Rownd differently from conventional hardware manufacturers.

The demand at the core of this approach is reflected in the company’s reach today, with products shipped to more than 40 countries across six continents. The five axis model introduced at CES 2025 further demonstrates the company’s technical depth and its ambition to expand its product portfolio.

Our investment decision in Rownd Precision was driven by the strong engineering capabilities we observed from our very first interactions with the team and during visits to their production facilities, as well as their clearly articulated vision of “democratizing manufacturing.”
